Prisms in ophthalmology are special lenses that change the direction of light passing through them to correct problems with eye alignment and binocular vision. They are mainly used to treat disorders such as strabismus (strabismus), heterophoria or diplopia (double vision). Prisms can be built into glasses or attached to existing lenses.
