If your problem is a blurred or distorted image caused by corneal cone (Latin keratoconus), glasses do not meet your expectations - try specialised hard lenses for cone correction.
Hard contact lenses that are applied directly to the cornea of the eye, otherwise known as RGP (gas permeable) or stabile contact lenses, have been used successfully for many years for the correction of complex visual defects, varifocality, for eyes after surgery and trauma and, above all, in corneal cone. These lenses have a small diameter (smaller than soft lenses) that does not extend beyond the cornea, making them easy to insert and remove and clean. They have a stable shape so that the wearer can only wear them on one side. They are manufactured from durable materials with maximum oxygen permeability, which prevents corneal hypoxia and allows the lenses to be used for a long period of time, usually about 1-2 years. The latest generation of lens materials are completely safe and do not cause irritation or inflammation, so they can also be used by allergy sufferers and allow them to maintain eye health, which is often much more difficult with soft lenses.
Lenses are individually selected for each eye based on detailed topographical measurements of the cornea. Each lens has individual parameters and geometry, and the lens material can be selected.
