My vision problem started in my early school years, around 2nd or 3rd grade of primary school. It began with a small defect of -0.5 diopters. Initially, it progressed rapidly, and after each follow-up visit (every 6 months), I would receive new prescription lenses. It ended up with a defect of -5. Glasses became a part of my daily life and accompanied me for over 25 years.

As a child who was always on the move, running around everywhere, it was initially difficult to get used to wearing glasses. They would often fall off or get misplaced. They also hindered ordinary sports activities, like running or going to the swimming pool. As a teenager, I wasn’t happy about having to wear them. Thick lenses, frames, moments of rebellion. The glasses stayed at home, and I couldn’t recognize people around me. Over the years, I came to hate glasses, so I started wearing contact lenses, but unfortunately, wearing them wasn’t very comfortable for me. I felt condemned to wearing glasses, so whether I liked it or not, I had to make friends with them. I’ve always dreamed of not having a vision defect, and Blikpol Clinic made my dream come true.

I had been considering the procedure for many years, following news, forums, and all kinds of information about laser correction. Several people in my circle underwent the procedure at Blikpol Clinic, so I learned about the clinic from them. On the day of the qualifying tests for the procedure, I was very afraid that I wouldn’t qualify, but there were no objections.

The examination and laser correction procedure were performed by Dr. med. Witold Czuszyński. His composure, calmness, and full professionalism made a huge impression on me. He is a person full of patience, meticulously answering all questions. I will be grateful to him for the rest of my life :)

On the day of the procedure, I felt great excitement but also nervousness. After all, it’s an intervention in such a sensitive organ as the eye. However, upon crossing the threshold of Blikpol Clinic, I was warmly welcomed. I was taken care of from beginning to end, and all doubts disappeared. Despite the slight stress that accompanied me, kind words and a friendly atmosphere gave me encouragement. The nurse, as if sensing that I might need support, handed me a plush dog. It was nice. Dr. Czuszyński was very caring. Throughout the procedure, he explained what would happen. The procedure was short and almost painless.

The day after the procedure was a day of disbelief for me that it had happened. In the morning, I alternately opened my left and right eye, reading book covers and not believing it: I can see!!! :) My first thought: it was worth it!!! The week after the procedure was a time of joy. I got out of bed and didn’t have to reach for my glasses. I simply opened my eyes and saw. There was no pain or inconvenience. Every now and then, I looked for new points to “read” to check if I could see clearly. That’s how it is until today. :)

My life has changed drastically. I feel like I’ve been reborn. I open my eyes and see. Clearly and sharply. My attitude toward myself, appearance, and sense of worth has changed. I changed my hairstyle, makeup. Previously, with -5 and reducing lenses, I used to apply makeup more heavily to my “eye”; now makeup takes a few minutes :). I’m extremely happy, and the only thing I regret is not deciding to undergo the procedure earlier.

I am very satisfied with the services of Blikpol Clinic. I will recommend the procedure to everyone! There is no need to hesitate.
