Gdańsk
It’s hard not to start with the Old Town. Visit the charming, historic core of the Tricity. Full of various cozy pubs and restaurants, you can feast there until late. In summer, the Old Town hosts the long and diverse Dominican Fair, full of various articles and trinkets.
- Any time of year, it’s worth visiting the picturesque Oliwa Park (along with the historic, famous Oliwa Cathedral). In winter, very attractive light illuminations appear there.
- If you like views, head to Góra Gradowa, or dine at Panorama Restaurant on the 16th floor (great panorama, including the Gdańsk Shipyard).
Sopot
Relax. On the beach that stretches along the entire Tricity, on a rented sun lounger or in a wicker basket. You can also rent a bike or other means of transport and ride along the seaside promenade, from Gdańsk to Gdynia.
- Enjoy delicious tea at the tiny but very atmospheric Zaścianek café next to the Crooked House. Try coffee at La Crema d’Italia on Monciak, and eat at “Śliwka wpadająca w Kompot” – also on Monte Cassino.
Gdynia
With children, take advantage of the offer of the Experiment Science Center in Gdynia Redłowo. Countless shows, interactions, exhibitions – who doesn’t like to learn through play or interactively?
- Something for sweet tooths? Any time of year, we recommend going to Pączusia, one of the best doughnut shops in the Tricity, serving delicious, hot balls of pleasure. On Fat Thursday, you have to wait in line for about an hour and a half.
- If the Tricity, then ships. Both beautiful tall ships and modern vessels. In Gdynia, there are the museum ships Dar Pomorza and ORP Błyskawica, in Gdańsk, the Sołdek. Plus, incredibly enjoyable cruises on the Gdańsk Black Pearl or the Sopot Pirate Ship.
