Eye Surgery
This is certainly a great day, which many of our patients remember with fondness for a long time to come. Great emotions, hopes, but also fears. In the end, relief and not infrequently – a feeling of surprise that it’s actually already, that it’s fast, that you can see right away…. And that’s a fact. Compared to the duration of the diagnostic consultation, the actual procedure may seem short like…. the blink of an eye.

You’ll probably see many of the familiar faces you’ve already met at your pre-op appointment. As the time for your procedure approaches, the nurses will invite you into the preparation room, where they’ll gag your eyes, anesthetize you, and help you get dressed in our special procedure uniform.
Important!
Coming for the procedure, you must have gone at least two weeks without wearing soft contact lenses, three weeks without toric lenses, one month without hard lenses and two months from keratology (night) lenses. The same rule applies before qualifying for surgery.
On the day of surgery:

- ○ try to arrive rested (preferably if you come with a loved one),
○ we will give you drops that anesthetize your eyes,
○ the whole operation will last 15- 20 minutes, the laser will painlessly reshape the cornea of your eye in a matter of seconds,
○ after the procedure you may feel burning, tearing as well as a foreign body sensation in the eye. Try to keep your eyes closed, do not clench your eyelids or rub your eyes,
○ after the procedure, the doctor will examine your eyes and you will be allowed to go home,
○ you will be given recommendations, drops to use after the procedure and sleeping covers,
- ○ report for follow-up examinations the day after the procedure, and subsequent follow-up appointments will be scheduled depending on the method performed.
