Sports are a huge part of my life. Running, swimming, strength training, and contact sports are my daily routine.
I had a vision problem, -2.5 diopters in one eye and -3 in the other. It may seem like a minor issue, but wearing glasses or contact lenses during any physical activity is problematic. Sweat drips down, glasses fall off, lenses get twisted – you probably know what I mean. I decided I had to do something about it.
A good friend recommended BLIKPOL clinic to me. I scheduled my first examination, and it turned out that I was eligible for the procedure. On May 7, 2018, I underwent iLASIK laser vision correction surgery. The procedure itself lasted about 20 minutes, with preparations and paperwork taking about an hour. The procedure wasn’t the most pleasant experience, but it went quickly and without complications. For the first two days after the surgery, my vision seemed blurry, almost like looking through a haze.
Blurred vision persisted for almost a week, but it’s a very individual matter. The most beautiful moment was the morning a few days after the surgery when I woke up, looked out the window, and could see every single green leaf on the tree with my own eyes. I even thought I forgot to take my contact lenses out at night.
For those who have never experienced vision problems, this may be incomprehensible, but if you know what I’m talking about, I recommend giving it a try. Today, I know that deciding to undergo the surgery was one of the best decisions of my life.
