I’ve been professionally collaborating with the Blikpol Clinic for several years. As a mediator in the medical tourism industry for Velcure, I have repeatedly recommended the clinic to my patients from abroad, who have always been delighted with the service, friendly atmosphere, and professionalism of the clinic. Our patients were always satisfied with their visits, even if the procedure couldn’t always be performed (due to medical reasons).
In May 2017, I decided to use the clinic’s services myself and signed up for a consultation and a one-day procedure. It was the perfect solution for me because I live outside of Poland, and I wanted my stay in Poland to be as short as possible (a morning visit, procedure in the afternoon, mandatory consultation the next day, and no contraindications for flying back home).
Making the decision for laser eye correction wasn’t difficult – after years of wearing contact lenses, unfortunately, I couldn’t wear them anymore and had to switch the convenience of lenses for glasses. Imprinted nose pads, constantly dirty lenses, corrective sunglasses – these are just a few of the many problems that every glasses wearer faces. In my case, the real horror was doing sports. Working out with glasses is simply impossible!
Fortunately, iLasik came to my rescue. Although I had to take a break from my fitness studio for 2 months during the recovery period after the surgery, I have no regrets. The funniest thing is that when I returned to sports, I was asked to sign a new contract at the fitness studio because without glasses, no one recognized me there! The convenience of exercising without glasses is unimaginable, and I think nobody appreciates it until they’ve had to exercise with extra lenses on their nose.
I’ve already talked a bit about the surgery in a video that can be watched on the Youtube channel. Briefly and painlessly – that’s how I can describe the whole visit. A few minutes per eye is truly time worth spending to see better and without glasses for the rest of your life!
Thanks to laser eye correction and BLIKPOL, I not only could return to my beloved sport, but also a year later, without glasses, I could say YES to my husband, seeing him clearly!
The only thing I regret is not having the procedure done earlier…
