I had a large defect (OP +9, OL +7.75) in addition to astigmatism and a visual impairment of the right eye. It is a well-known fact that glasses have been a part of my life since I was very young. The older I got, the more uncomfortable wearing glasses became. Especially because I am an active person.
At university, I thought it was worth trying and getting laser vision correction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the age of 21, I took the qualifying tests, but unfortunately did not pass and had to accept defeat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n After five years, at the encouragement of my long-time optometrist friend, I decided to try again and that's how I ended up at Blikpol. I was a little worried that I would not pass the qualifying examination again, but a warm July day was kind to me. The lady at reception offered me a treatment date in 4 days' time, but I had to settle on a decision. 30 September 2015 became a glorious day when I said goodbye to my thick bottoms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I was calm on the day and set off early in the morning towards Sopot. I stated that it would be what it was supposed to be. Dr Czuszynski showed me the whole procedure step by step. I was aware that my defect would not be zeroed out, but that I would see as I did with the best-fitting glasses.<\/strong> The funny situation I remember is a few minutes after the procedure my brother calls me and the first thing he asks me - sister can you see it's me calling you!<\/strong><\/em> I read the caption on my phone!<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
After the treatment, which lasted a few minutes, my eyes were burning and very watery but it only lasted a few hours. The next day I could see the image behind the fog but I was able to move around without my glasses.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
After that, it only got better at each follow-up visit there was progress in my vision. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
If I could turn back time, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to undergo a procedure that has improved my comfort level. Since then, I am no longer the shy girl with glasses, I have become a more confident and happier person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
