I developed a visual defect in my early school years, around year 2-3 of primary school. It started with a small defect of -0.5 dioptres. At first it progressed very quickly, and every time I went for a check-up (every six months or so) I was given new powers of spectacles. I ended up with a defect of -5 and my glasses have been my daily companion for over 25 years. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
For a child who is on the move, running and everywhere, it was initially difficult to get used to the glasses. They fell off somewhere or got lost. Normal sporting activities, such as running or going to the pool, were also difficult. As a teenager, I wasn't happy about having to wear them either. Thick glasses, frames, there came moments of rebellion. The glasses stayed at home and I didn't recognise the people around me. As the years went by, I hated glasses and started wearing lenses, unfortunately wearing them was not very comfortable for me.<\/strong> I felt I was doomed to have to wear glasses, so I had to befriend them, whether I wanted to or not. I've always dreamt of not having a defect in my eyesight, and the Blikpol clinic made my dream come true.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I had been considering the procedure for many years, following the news, forums and all the information about laser correction. Several people close to me had just undergone the procedure at Blikpol, which is how I found out about the clinic. After all, it is always an interference in an organ as sensitive as the eye. However, once I crossed the threshold of the Blikpol clinic, I was greeted very nicely. I was looked after from start to finish and any doubts were gone. Despite the slight stress I felt, the pleasant voices and friendly atmosphere encouraged me. The nurse, as if sensing that I might need support, gave me a stuffed dog to hold. That was nice. Dr Czuszynski was very caring. Throughout the procedure he talked about what was going to happen. The procedure took a short time and was almost painless.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The day after the procedure was a day full of disbelief for me that it had happened. In the mornings, I alternated between opening my left and right eye while reading the book wrappers and disbelieving<\/strong>: I can see!!! \ud83d\ude42 First thought: it was worth it!!! The week after the procedure was a time of joy. I was getting out of bed and I didn't have to reach for my glasses. I just opened my eyes and saw. There was no pain and no inconvenience. Every now and then I would find new points to \u201eread\u201d to see if I could see clearly. This is still the case today \ud83d\ude42 .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n My life has changed dramatically. I feel as if I have been born again. I open my eyes and I see. Sharply and clearly. My approach to myself, to my appearance, to my sense of self-worth has changed. I changed my hairstyle, my make-up. <\/strong>Previously with - 5 and diminishing glasses I was painting the \u201deye\u201d harder now makeup is a few minutes :). I'm so happy and the only thing I regret is that I decided so late to have the treatment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
